You may have an idea for your book, and you may want to share your story but do people want to read it?
I have been writing non-fiction self-help books for over 6 years and I always write about my experiences. I write because I think if I have the knowledge to help other people to move beyond their problems faster than I did then it is well worth writing the book to share my knowledge.

Most of my clients want to share their experiences, their stories of how they turned their life around and how they found the techniques that helped. Isn’t that worth sharing with other people?
In order to produce books that people want to read you must ask yourself these 3 questions:-
- Who is the reader?
- What is their problem?
- How are you going to solve it?
Writing about your experience is never about you, it is all about the reader and if you answer these three questions then you will produce a book that people want to read.
Don’t be clever with the title
This is where some novice authors go wrong. They think of a snappy title but if you are writing non-fiction then this is wrong. The title should identify what the book is about, what the reader’s problem is and with the sub-title how you are going to solve it. You book should always have a main title and a sub-title. Remember, if your reader is on Amazon and searches for an answer to their problem what are they searching for?
By considering these two things you are more likely to reach your target audience and produce a book that people want to read.
Don’t hesitate, start writing today because you have a story to tell, there is someone out there who is struggling with what you have overcome, and they need your knowledge. I always think that if I have helped one person with my book then it is worth writing.
